About Us:

Bethesda Bungalows is an award-winning custom builder specializing in energy efficient bungalows, Arts & Crafts and Prairie-style homes. We focus on the Bethesda/Chevy Chase/Kensington area and the District, but will gladly consider projects of different styles and locations.

Our mission is to build unique and beautiful homes of the highest quality, using the latest building materials and techniques, in an efficient and cost-effective manner. We are experienced in building homes of all sizes, from small bungalows to our larger Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired Prairie homes.

Bethesda Bungalows is led by Peter Guida, whose passion for quality building carries through to the rest of the team. His impressive understanding of the building process and the local real estate market is an invaluable asset for your project.

Most of our homes are conceived by award-winning home designer and author, Christian Gladu of The Bungalow Company. Historically, bungalows have always been a naturally efficient home, and the original "anti-mansion". Christian works closely with our clients to design beautiful, livable spaces.

Working with local Architects

Bethesda Bungalows will be happy to work with your architect or your set of stock plans. We have completed several projects with local design firms and we are currently working with Rill Architects for our LEED project in Kensington, and Bruce Hutchinson on a colonial in Bethesda.
